About
Welcome to SheHOODed, an inclusive educational movement dedicated to empowering Black women to thrive in academic and professional environments. Our mission is to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of Black women, celebrating their achievements and resilience while navigating systems marked by racial disparities.
Whether you identify more with figures like Sukihana or Michelle Obama, we honor the diverse experiences of Black womanhood and provide a space for candid conversations, engaged communities, and equitable belonging. At SheHOODed, we believe in fostering environments where individuals can authentically explore and develop their identities, intellects, and intuitions.
Guided by a Black feminist framework, we curate media content, facilitate workshops, and host community events tailored to the needs of Black women. We recognize the challenges faced by Black women in showing up authentically amidst pressures to conform to outdated ideals of identity and success. Operating at the intersection of marginalized identities, we strive to empower Black women to trust in themselves, their visions, and their unique ideas of success.
Through understanding historical and societal contexts, and by building supportive communities, we aim to navigate these challenges and work towards achieving our aspirations together. Join us at SheHOODed as we empower Black women to embrace their authenticity and strive for success on their own terms.
